Viant Technology shares were down 25%, to $14.85, after the company reported fourth-quarter earnings that missed analysts' expectations.
The packaged-software company reported quarterly earnings of $1.7 million, or 10 cents a share, compared with $626,000, or four cents a share, in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by FactSet were looking for earnings of $1.9 million, or 14 cents a share.
Adjusted earnings were 15 cents a share, compared with the 21 cents a share analysts were expecting.
Revenue for the quarter was $90.1 million, compared with last year's $64.4 million and the $83.9 million analysts were expecting.
For the first quarter, the company is looking for revenue of $65 million to $68 million, compared with the $66.4 million analysts are forecasting. Viant also is expecting contribution ex-TAC of $40.5 million to $42.5 million, with analysts forecasting $41.6 million.
