Amazon Web Services to Start $18.0 million AI-Powered Water Management Projects in Spain

Amazon (AMZN) Web Services said Monday it plans to start three new artificial intelligence-powered projects totaling 17.2 million euros ($18.0 million) to reduce flood risks to its data centers and 700,000 residents in the vicinity in Aragon, Spain.

The three projects to be located in Zaragoza will include an AI-powered early-warning system to prevent flooding, a project to help farmers maximize crop yields by managing water use with the help of AI, and infrastructure improvements, the company said.
