微软于当地时间2月28日宣布，旗下的全球网络通话服务Skype将于2025年5月5日停用。

微软称，随着技术变革，消费者需求也产生了变化，停用Skype后，微软将专注于现代化的沟通协作平台Microsoft Teams，这一平台不收费。

Microsoft Teams保留了Skype的核心功能（如一对一通话、群组通话、消息收发、文件共享），并新增免费增强功能，包括会议主持、日历管理、创建及加入社区等。

用户可使用Skype账户直接登录Teams，进行聊天记录、联系人的自动迁移。在截至2025年5月5日的过渡期内，Skype与Teams用户可互通消息。如果不愿迁移至Teams，用户也可以选择导出联系人、聊天和通话记录等Skype数据。

公开资料显示，Skype是由瑞典企业家Niklas Zennström等人于2003年创立的即时通讯软件，2011年被微软收购。
