CK Infrastructure (HKG:1038) is looking to bid for UK-based waste management company Viridor, Bloomberg News reported Saturday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
A purchase could value Viridor at about 7 billion pounds sterling, the report said.
Buyout firm KKR is looking into options for Viridor and is talking with Barclays and UBS about the potential sale, the report said.
A sale could attract private equity firms, according to the report.
Discussions are in the preliminary stage and could still fall out, the report said.
