New Frontier Minerals (ASX:NFM) said processing and interpretation of geophysical data identified uranium anomalies at its Harts Range uranium-niobium-heavy rare earths project in the Northern Territory, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The results were provided by Southern Geoscience Consultants. They are now conducting a detailed 1-to-10,000-scale structural interpretation of magnetics and radiometric data to provide key information and additional targets.
Uranium anomalies were "pathfinders" for heavy rare earth mineralization, the filing said.
New Frontier's geology team will use the integrated geophysical and geological datasets to identify and target key areas for ground truthing, including geological mapping and sampling.
