台积电CEO解释赴美投资：美国客户需求太大

凤凰网科技讯 北京时间3月6日，台积电在美国追加投资1000亿美元引发关注，甚至在中国台湾地区引发了台积电变“美积电”的担忧。对此，台积电CEO魏哲家今天下午专门举行记者会，解释赴美投资。
魏哲家强调，台积电在每一个地方建生产线都为了客户的需求，到美国也是为了客户的需求，客户的需求是台积电的最大考量。这次加大在美投资，是因为美国客户的需求量非常大，台积电目前在美国的扩张计划不够，没有办法满足他们的需求。台积电的美国客户包括苹果、英伟达等公司。
他还表示，台积电在台湾的投资计划不会受到赴美投资的影响，公司还会继续在台湾建生产线，今年要建11条生产线。
有记者提问称，岛内对台积电赴美扩大投资的一大担忧就是台湾的核心竞争力会慢慢流失。魏哲家以2纳米工艺为例，强调了经验的重要性。他表示，从研发到生产，每一步都需要不断优化，改进，这样才能进步。言外之意，台湾工厂拥有经验优势。(作者/箫雨)
