Foot Locker Watches Young Consumers Juggle Cost Of Living Concerns -- Market Talk

1441 ET - Foot Locker is watching closely how its consumers react to the current economic landscape, CEO Mary Dillon says on a call with analysts. Foot Locker's typical consumers are young, with more limited discretionary budgets, and mostly react to innovation and newness when shopping, Dillon says. "This is for sure a category that they prioritize [in] their lives, but we're watching as they're thinking about overall cost of living, plus some uncertainty about tariffs," the executive adds. Foot Locker has factored its young customer base into its 2025 outlook as it pushes for innovation from partners like Nike in an effort to lure in those young shoppers.
