Apollo Global Management (APO) and Vistria Group are considering spinning off Apollo Education Group, holding company of University of Phoenix, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Apollo Education's owners are discussing an IPO that could take place as soon as Q3 with a valuation of $1.5 billion to $1.7 billion. Other options include a possible sale.
The report cautioned that no final decision had been made.
Apollo, Vistria and Apollo Education Group did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
