Target (TGT), Amazon.com (AMZN), and Tractor Supply (TSCO) continue to support some diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI, initiatives after publicly announcing they have ended such programs, Reuters reported Thursday, citing interviews with company employees, DEI advocates, and consultants.
The companies have told advocacy groups and individuals that they plan to continue providing financial and internal support for some programs, according to the report.
Companies are trying to please stakeholders while reducing legal risk, Reuters said, citing a DEI consultant.
Target, Amazon, and Tractor Supply did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
