自从开始打击密码共享以来，奈飞（Netflix）过去两年的用户数量显著增长，但分析师认为，这种迅猛增长趋势可能很快就会失去动力。
根据研究公司Moffett Nathanson的一份报告，奈飞公司过去两年的用户大幅增长，其主要原因是由以前一直在使用其他人的登录凭证、现在已经注册自己的帐户的人推动的。
这说明奈飞只是让现有观众付费，而不是吸引大量新客户。
该公司的分析师总结道：“这意味着奈飞全球用户增长水平的提高并不代表其用户群的显著扩大。它只是非常成功地让其现有用户群付费。”
自2023年5月开始打击共享密码以来，截至2024年第四季度，奈飞的注册用户数量增长了近27%，从约2.38亿增长到超过3.01亿。
