Blackstone-owned (BX) QTS proposals to construct an up to 10 billion British pounds ($12.83 billion) data center in Cambois, UK, have been granted planning permission from the Northumberland County Council, the council said Tuesday.

The council's strategic planning committee granted the planning permission for the project, the regulator said.

The new site will create 1,200 construction jobs, and Blackstone will help it establish a 110 million pounds fund for long-term investment, the council said.

Blackstone did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
