智通财经APP获悉，亚特兰大联储主席博斯蒂克(Raphael Bostic)表示，美国总统特朗普的政策和其他因素对经济的影响可能需要几个月的时间才能变得明朗。这表明，美联储政策制定者可能至少在春季末之前将保持利率稳定。
博斯蒂克重申，特朗普的政策变化可能会以不同的方式影响经济，这增加了经济的不确定性。他表示：“问题是，这一切会如何解决?”“如果我们能在春季末夏季初之前弄清楚情况，我会感到惊讶。”他补充称，经济的方向“在很大程度上是悬而未决的”。
美联储在春末夏初将举行三次政策会议，分别在5月6日-7日、6月17日-18日以及7月29日-30日。
美联储政策制定者近来暗示，他们预计将在一段时间内维持利率不变，同时等待更多证据表明通胀正在降至2%的水平。投资者目前预计，美联储将在3月18日-19日的政策会议上维持利率不变。但与此同时，根据期货合约的定价，市场预计，美联储在今年晚些时候将有三次降息。
博斯蒂克表示：“就在本周，我们就看到了政策走向的剧烈波动。你必须要有耐心，不要走得太远”。他上周就曾表示，美联储应将利率维持在限制性水平，直到其完全控制物价稳定——这是美联储的双重使命之一。
