The Great Eastern Shipping Company (NSE:GESHIP, BOM:500620) has received board approval to voluntary strike off or liquidate its wholly-owned subsidiary called Great Eastern Services, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

Great Eastern Services was established in June 2020 and does not have business operations since its incorporation.

Shares of the company were up over 2% in recent trade.
