3 月 6 日，美国新罕布什尔州众议院委员会于 3 月 5 日以 16 票对 1 票的投票结果通过了该州的比特币储备法案，使其成为最新一个将比特币相关法案提交至众议院进行全体投票的美国州。
众议院商业与消费者事务委员会通过的第 302 号法案，使其成为目前美国众议院正在审议的七项比特币相关法案之一。如果该法案通过，新罕布什尔州的财政主管将被授权——但并非强制——从一般基金、收入稳定基金或州议会授权的其他基金中投资最多 5% 的资金。
虽然该法案未明确提及比特币（BTC），但其中规定，只有在过去一年平均市值达到 5000 亿美元的数字资产才符合投资标准，这意味着目前唯一符合该条件的数字资产就是比特币。
此外，该法案还授权新罕布什尔州财政主管投资于贵金属，如黄金、白银和铂金。该法案由共和党议员基思·阿蒙（Keith Ammon）于 1 月 10 日提出，并由民主党议员克里斯·麦克阿利尔（Chris McAleer）和卡里·斯皮尔（Carry Spier）共同担任联署提案人。
