Auto Stocks Rise in Premarket After Tariff Relief Comments

Shares of Ford Motor (F), General Motors (GM), Toyota Motor (TM), and Stellantis (STLA) gained in premarket trading Wednesday after Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said late Tuesday that President Donald Trump is considering tariff relief on imports, including cars and auto parts, that comply with the U.S.-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement.

Ford shares were up over 2%, while General Motors gained more than 4%. Toyota and Stellantis both climbed nearly 6% in early premarket activity.
