该公司成立于1981年8月，注册资本3.5亿人民币，经营范围包括道路机动车辆生产、汽车零部件及配件制造、汽车零配件批发、汽车新车销售等，现由比亚迪汽车工业有限公司全资持股。公开信息显示，2023年8月，天津市公共交通集团（控股）有限公司挂牌转让天津比亚迪汽车有限公司50%股权。
