Tesla (TSLA) has signed a five-year lease to open its first showroom in India, located in Mumbai, to sell imported electric vehicles, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing registration documents.
The company will pay about $446,000 in rent for the first year, with a 5% annual increase bringing it to roughly $542,000 in the fifth year, the report added, citing the documents.
