消息面上，2月17日，周治平已正式调任中国兵器装备集团有限公司董事、总经理、党组副书记。在中国汽车行业正处于深度调整期的背景下，周治平的调任被业界视为长安与东风联合重组的重要举措。国泰君安指出，东风、长安是国内央企龙头车企，央企重组序幕拉开，加速汽车业务转型优化动力。
摩根士丹利此前发布研报称，维持东风集团股份“与大市同步”评级，目标价3.9港元。根据该行估算，东风汽车现价水平明显低于其净有形流动资产价值，由于欠缺重组计划详情，若母公司层面重组能够成功实施，随后上市公司经营效率得以提升，长期而言相信其内在价值将得以体现。该行指出，由于母公司重组交易并未披露太多细节，预计未来股价仍会因相关报道，例如人事变动等而左右。
