Broadcom's Strong Custom Chips Biz May Quell Macro Concerns -- Market Talk

0945 ET - Broadcom is facing plenty of headwinds, particularly from the Trump administration's trade war and potential limits on AI chip exports, but the company seems confident that its dominance on custom chip sales should keep it moving in the right direction, Melius Research analysts say in a research note. It has a growing base of elite custom ASIC chip customers, they say. Broadcom makes a compelling argument that application-custom chips for AI will continue to proliferate, including specific accelerators of aspects of training and inferencing, the analysts say.
