0926 ET - Broadcom delivered a series of forecast beats in its fiscal 1Q report, but perhaps the biggest surprise was the announcement that it is working with four new hyperscaler customers in designing custom silicon, Melius Research analysts say in a research note. The four are aiming to be just as big as the existing three, which are already scaling to 1 million units by 2027 with a serviceable addressable market that year of $60 billion to $90 billion, the Melius analysts say. The new customers won't contribute to revenue for another couple years, but the biggest one could be OpenAI with a contribution in 2026, they say. Broadcom climbs 7% premarket. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
