United Airlines (UAL) said Friday that it has installed Starlink on its first regional aircraft and disclosed details about the installation process on its other aircraft.

The airline said it expects to outfit more than 40 regional aircraft per month with Starlink from May through the end of the year.

The company said that adding the 85-pound Starlink equipment to each aircraft will take about eight hours, ten times faster than non-Starlink equipment, and will take the plane out of commission for about four days.

The airline said it will eventually add Starlink to its entire fleet.
