1008 ET - Broadcom's strong quarterly report shows that despite potential headwinds in the AI space, including tariffs and DeepSeek, its customers are steadfast in investing to achieve what's been called artificial general intelligence, or AI that broadly exceeds human intelligence, Truist analysts say in a research note. If anything, the pace of innovation to achieve AGI seems to be accelerating, they say. Broadcom is in the middle of suppliers such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing who are accelerating wafer fabrication and packaging innovation and customers who are accelerating their rack-scale innovation, the analysts say. Broadcom adding four new hyperscalers as customers-to-be makes the acceleration even more evident, the analysts say. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
