GE Vernova (GEV) said Tuesday it is collaborating with Amazon's (AMZN) Amazon Web Services to support the latter's data center growth and to enhance grid security, and advance energy decarbonization.
Financial details weren't disclosed.
Through this collaboration, GE Vernova will support Amazon Web Services in electrifying and decarbonizing data centers across North America, Europe, and Asia by providing substation solutions, expanding renewable energy projects, and offering power generation equipment and services, the company said, adding that the partnership will also focus on energy transition innovation, research, project development, and financing.
As part of the collaboration, Amazon Web Services will support GE Vernova's cloud migration and digital innovation, including generative AI, while continuing to work with its Electrification Software business to enhance cloud-based solutions for the electric grid, power generation, and manufacturing industries, the company said.
