Singapore Exchange added Hong Kong blue chips Ping An Insurance (HKG:2318), Meituan (HKG:3690), and Xiaomi (HKG:1810) to Singapore Depository Receipts, Business Times reported.
The second batch of Hong Kong SDRs, taking the total to eight, was launched in partnership with Phillip Securities, the report added.
SDRs allow Singaporean investors to invest directly in overseas stocks through SGX. They provide holders with a beneficial interest in an underlying security through an issuance and cancellation process, the report said.
