PRIME MINISTER TUSK

On Thursday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will take part in an extraordinary European Council summit on strengthening European defence. Issues of increasing EU financial and military aid for Ukraine will also be discussed.

DEFENCE MINISTERS OF POLAND AND UKRAINE

On Thursday, Polish Minister of National Defence Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz and Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov meet in Warsaw.

PRESIDENT DUDA

Polish President Andrzej Duda said in an interview that a European army is not necessarily needed, it is possible to cooperate within NATO and this should be a sufficient security guarantee, Super Express daily reported.

NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

Polish Deputy Minister of Industry Wojciech Wrochna said that four potential locations have been selected for the construction of the second nuclear power plant in Poland, Dziennik Dazeta Prawna daily reported.

MILITARY AID FOR UKRAINE

Polish Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk said that following the decision of US President Donald Trump, American transports with aid for Ukraine will remain in the hub in Rzeszow for now, private television TVN24 reported.
