Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) is providing financial support to customers affected by Tropical Cyclone Alfred, which has impacted regions from the Sunshine Coast to Northern New South Wales, according to a Wednesday statement by the Bank.
The available support includes deferred home loan and credit card repayments, insurance claims for affected customers, and business loan deferrals, the bank said.
With several local branches temporarily closed for safety, customers can still access support through the Westpac application or by calling their customer service team, the bank added.
Additionally, business customers with merchant facilities may be eligible for refunds on monthly terminal access fees.
