日本股市早市下跌，受美股隔晚(6日)下跌影响。美国费城半导体指数跌至七个月低，日本部分半导体股受影响。美元兑日圆一度跌至148水平，亦影响出口股。日经平均指数一度跌逾800点并失守37,000点心理关口，半日跌696点或1.9%，报37,008点。
半导体股方面，Advantest及东京威力科创跌2%及3.2%，胜高及铠侠跌2.3%及2.1%，雷泰光电及迪思科升1.8%。光纤生产商藤仓跌3.6%，软银跌2.8%。
防卫概念股川崎重工及IHI跌1.8%及2.5%，三菱重工升1.4%。其他股份方面，任天堂及索尼跌7.7%及4.4%，迅销跌2.9%。银行股三菱日联金融跌1.3%，车股丰田及本田跌0.9%，柒和伊回吐0.6%。
