Westpac Banking Buys Back Over 60,000 Shares

Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) repurchased 60,226 ordinary shares for around AU$1.9 million in an on-market buy back on Thursday, according to filings with the Australian and New Zealand bourses on Friday.

Barrenjoey Markets acted as a broker for the transaction, the filing said.

The bank's shares fell over 2% in recent trading on the Australian bourse and over 3% on the New Zealand one on Friday.
