智通财经APP获悉，Venture Global(VG.US)周四表示，计划投资180亿美元对其位于路易斯安那州的Plaquemines液化天然气(LNG)工厂进行扩建。该扩建项目将使工厂的年产能从目前的2700万吨提升至4500万吨。
此次扩建计划包括建设24条生产线，这将使Venture Global在当前及计划中的美国项目上的总投资超过750亿美元。当天早些时候，该公司已将Plaquemines项目初期阶段的建设成本预估上调了约20亿美元。
Venture Global首席执行官Mike Sabel表示：“Plaquemines的扩建计划将使其成为北美最大的LNG出口设施，不仅为我们的盟友供应液化天然气，还将对美国的贸易平衡产生重大影响。”
该公司在路易斯安那州的Calcasieu Pass已拥有一座LNG出口设施，预计完工后年出口量至少达到1000万吨。
尽管Venture Global的股价在第四季度利润和营收未达预期后持续大幅下跌，但公司仍积极推进其扩张计划。
