CHN Energy Changyuan Electric Power's (SHE:000966) power in generation in February fell 8% year on year to 2.75 billion kilowatt hours, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.
The drop was attributed to a decline in thermal power generation and hydropower generation, which decreased 7.8% and 73%, respectively. Only new energy power generation rose, adding 36% year on year.
For the first two months of the year, the power company's power generation slumped 18% to 5.63 billion kWh from a year earlier, the filing said.
