0359 GMT - China's yuan may garner only limited support from the USD Index's decline, Mizuho Securities Asia's Ken Cheung says in an email. Uncertainties over U.S. President Trump's tariffs on Chinese goods are unlikely to dissipate before China-U.S. trade talks begin, the director of FX Strategy says. These tariff uncertainties are poised to keep the yuan "on the back foot," Cheung says. USD/CNH is 0.1% higher at 7.2448, while USD/CNY is 0.1% lower at 7.2446, according to FactSet.
