人民财讯3月5日电，据中国钢铁工业协会消息，3月4日上午，中国钢铁工业协会副会长王颖生接待了到访的必和必拓集团销售与营销铁矿副总裁陆瑞明一行，双方就钢铁行业运行及未来需求、必和必拓矿山生产和后期铁矿项目开发、推动钢铁行业绿色低碳发展、加强定价机制研究等进行了友好交流。陆瑞明介绍了必和必拓生产经营情况，2025上半财年铁矿石实现产量1.45亿吨，并维持2.82亿吨—2.94亿吨的全年产量指导目标。必和必拓表示将通过供应链的不断优化，朝着年产量突破3.05亿吨的中期目标稳步迈进。同时，公司正在加大对西澳铁矿石扩能的研究力度，旨在将其年产量提升至3.3亿吨，相关研究将于2025年完成。
