0310 GMT - As long as BYD delivers further growth, its recent share placement plan is likely to support the company, Nomura analysts write in a note. The Chinese automaker may use the funding to support its overseas expansion, in line with the company's overall business strategy, they add. BYD plans to have six overseas factories over the next two years and to expand its exposure to those overseas markets. There could be challenges in securing funding, given BYD's difficulties in transferring the capital needed outside mainland China due to government capital control measures. However, the replacement plan could help it secure more funding and make overseas expansion more feasible, they say. (jiahui.huang@wsj.com; @ivy_jiahuihuang)
