3月5日，第十四届全国人民代表大会第三次会议首场“代表通道”集中采访活动在北京人民大会堂举行。全国人大代表，小米集团创始人、董事长兼首席执行官雷军在接受媒体采访时表示，“今年正好是小米创业15周年。过去15年的创业，让我深刻体会到，无论是传统产业的转型升级，还是培育壮大新兴产业，都离不开科技创新。”
“5年前，我们就下决心加大科技创新力度，进一步投资底层核心技术，当时我们就规划了5年要投1000个亿（元），现在5年过去了，我们大约投了1050亿（元），巨额的研发投资给小米带来了巨大的变化。”雷军说。
雷军表示，制造业是我国立国之本、强国之基，小米作为中国制造业发展的建设者和受益者，我们将继续坚持走科技创新的道路，走高端化发展的道路，加快培育发展新质生产力，把先进的人工智能技术应用到各个终端上，让广大的消费者能够享受科技带来的美好生活，为推进中国式现代化贡献自己的力量。
