Technology Shares Inch Higher, Defying Selloff -- Tech Roundup

Dow Jones
Yesterday

Technology stocks held up better than the broader market Tuesday.

Tariffs walloped the physical economy, but the services sector proved more immune, in investors' estimation.

Stalwarts like International Business Machines and Microsoft ended in the green. The U.S. semis field also jumped ahead, with Nvidia, Microchip Technology and Broadcom all advancing.

Tariffs also proved good news for solar companies that face Chinese competition. Enphase Energy and First Solar saw their stocks leap.
