Nio's (NYSE: NIO) mobile app has stopped showing delivery wait times for its four main-selling models, hinting that the company may be clearing out inventory with their facelift coming soon.

Meanwhile, Nio's sub-brand Onvo's current sole model has seen its wait time reduced further.

The ET5, ET5 Touring, ES6 and EC6 -- the four main sellers often nicknamed "5566" by Nio -- are no longer displaying delivery waiting times from today, CnEVPost's daily monitoring shows.

Nio had already teased the upcoming facelifts of these four models last month.

On February 8, the company's founder, chairman, and CEO William Li said in a live video stream on Douyin, a short video platform, that from the second quarter to the fourth quarter, Nio Inc will have new product releases in every quarter of the year.

There would be facelifts for the ET5, ET5 Touring, ES6, and EC6, and they will have minor exterior changes and interior updates, according to Li.

The facelifted models will use horizontal center screens instead of the previous vertical ones and would use Nio's own Shenji autonomous driving chip, Li said at the time.

On February 19, the four models entered a regulatory filing catalog with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), showing them with slight tweaks to their exteriors.

The four models are Nio's main sellers, delivering a combined 180,038 units in 2024, contributing 81.11 percent of Nio Inc's 221,970 deliveries in 2024 and 89.48 percent of the Nio brand's 201,209 deliveries, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

The ES6 is the company's most important model, with 75,433 deliveries in 2024, contributing 33.98 percent of Nio Inc deliveries and 37.49 percent of the Nio brand.

In addition to these four models, other models sold under the Nio brand include the ET9, ES8, ES7, EC7, and ET7, with deliveries of the ET9 set to begin later this month.

The wait time for the ES7 has not been shown since June 2024. On March 1, Nio announced it was offering purchase offers this month that also did not cover the SUV.

Delivery wait times for the rest of Nio-brand models remain unchanged today -- 11-12 weeks for the ET9, 2-3 weeks for the ES8, 2-3 weeks for the ET7 and 4-5 weeks for the EC7.
