加拿大总理鲁多表示加拿大亦将对美国商品征收25%报复式关税后，美国总统特朗普回应将对加拿大征收更高的关税，全球贸易战持续，美股周二表现惨淡。道指最多跌843点，收市前半小时已接近收复失地，仅跌逾百点，惟尾市有如山泥倾泻下跌，最终收市跌670点或1.6%，收报42,520点，连同周一两日累跌近1,320点。
标普500指数跌71点或1.2%，收报5,778点；纳指亦表现反复，曾倒升逾130点，最终低收65点或0.4%，收报18,285点。
科技股“神奇七侠”中，以Alphabet(GOOG.US) 及英伟达(NVDA.US) 表现最佳，分别升逾2%及1%，成功推高纳指倒升。表现最差为特斯拉(TSLA.US) ，不过收市跌幅已略为缓和，收跌4.4%。
进口比重较高股份受压，通用汽车(GM.US) 和福特(F.US) 分别下跌超过4%和近3%。银行股亦重灾，费城银行指数跌近半成。
