Petrobras (PBR) said Friday it finalized a $283 million agreement to end a legal dispute in the US involving EIG Energy Fund XIV.
The company disclosed in a securities filing that the case stems from EIG's investment in FIP Sondas, which was previously linked to offshore drilling firm Sete Brasil.
According to Petrobras, the cost of the settlement has already been accounted for in its financial results.
As part of the settlement, EIG will seek dismissal of the case and waive any related claims, Petrobras said.
