汇丰全球研究部的Nicole Inui表示，标普500指数最近的下跌反映了美国可能出现轻度衰退的可能性。她指出，该指数从近期高点下跌了近9%，并且随着对经济衰退的担忧加剧，已经回吐了选举后的所有涨幅。这位股票策略主管认为，此次下跌可能意味着该指数已接近底部，并在波动中看到了机会。Inui看好科技和金融板块，并在非必需消费品板块保持选择性。她认为科技股的大幅降级是不合理的，并倾向于金融板块，因为该板块基本上不受关税和贸易威胁的影响。她补充说，投资者在非必需消费品板块应保持选择性，因为低收入消费者仍然面临压力，而高端消费者应保持韧性。
