Element 25 (ASX:E25) obtained the final statutory approval from the Western Australia's Department of Water and Environmental Regulation for the expansion of the company's Butcherbird manganese mine, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The proposed project is now fully approved under the Western Australian regulatory framework, enabling the start of construction for the project's processing facility, per the filing.
The mine is being expanded to produce 1.1 million tonnes per annum of high-quality manganese oxide concentrate for customers within the downstream steel industry.
