Chinese artificial intelligence startup Manus AI will partner with Alibaba's (HKG:9988) Qwen AI to create what Manus calls the world's first general AI agent, Reuters reported Tuesday.
Unlike an AI chatbot, an AI agent is like a digital employee that could perform tasks independently using minimal prompts, the report said.
Alibaba confirmed the partnership, with a spokesperson saying it is looking forward to more collaborations, the report said.
