NZME (ASX:NZM, NZE:NZM) said it received six director nominations from shareholders as of Tuesday, when the period for nominations closed, according to filings with the ASX and NZX on Wednesday.
The company said it was aware of media reports regarding the director nominations and shareholder proposal from James Grenon and JTG 4, as well as director nominations from Osmium Partners.
It said Grenon, Philip Crump, Desmond Gittings, and Simon West were nominated by Grenon and JTG 4. John Lewis and Adam Hoydysh were nominated by Osmium.
Grenon and JTG 4 had earlier proposed in a letter to remove all of the current directors of NZME and nominate four new directors to the NZME board.
NZME said it would provide further details in the notice for the annual shareholders' meeting.
NZME's shares rose almost 2% in recent trading on the Australian bourse on Wednesday.
