TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah urges Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to assert the national strategic project (PSN), that is the Rempang Eco City project, not to be continued by his government. Previously, Prabowo issued the latest PSN list through Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025 which was issued on February 10, 2025.

The Chair of PP Muhammadiyah, Busyro Muqoddas, said there are several PSNs from the 7th President Joko Widodo's legacy that are not included in the regulation. "One of them is the PSN PIK 2 Tropical Coastland, PSN Rempang Eco City, and PSN Bendungan Bener," said Busyro in a written statement on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Busyro stated the absence of a number of old PSNs in the new list issued by the Prabowo government must receive more attention. This provision will affect the situation on the ground.

Therefore, Busyro urges Prabowo to clarify the status of old PSNs that are not included in Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025 concerning the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2025-2029. "President Prabowo must assert that the PSNs not carried out in the RPJMN 2025-2029 must be stopped," said Busyro.

He conveyed that PP Muhammadiyah will also conduct further studies on PSNs listed in the RPJMN for 2025-2029. "We will comprehensively and critically study the 77 PSNs, consisting of 48 old PSNs and 29 new PSNs, as stated in the Presidential Regulation," said Busyro.

In Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025, several PSNs that will be carried out by the Prabowo government and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the next five years include Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) and giant sea wall or tanggul laut raksasa. In addition to creating new programs, Prabowo in Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025 stated his commitment to continue several projects from the era of the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, which have carry over status.

"National Strategic Projects can be initiated or proposed and carried out by the central government, regional government (local government), state-owned enterprises (BUMN), or private enterprises," a passage from Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025. There are 77 PSNs in the regulation signed by Prabowo.
