智通财经APP获悉，周一，激进投资者Palliser Capital致信力拓(RIO.US)董事会，敦促其进一步采取措施统一双重上市结构。此前，Palliser委托的一份评估报告支持其观点，即力拓应放弃其主要在伦敦的上市地位，并将公司结构统一为一家澳大利亚注册的公司。
Palliser表示，Grant Thornton的报告强调了力拓在英国和澳大利亚上市的股价差异，这种差异限制了公司执行重大股票并购的能力，并使股权融资复杂化。这支持了该对冲基金的论点，即力拓拒绝其统一上市结构的呼吁是错误的，并敦促其股东投票反对该决议。
力拓表示，其去年进行的一项审查发现，其双重上市公司结构仍然有效，并为公司和股东带来了利益。
该报告的结论在力拓股东就Palliser的决议进行投票之前公布，该决议要求对其上市地位进行独立审查;力拓在英国上市的股东将于4月3日投票，而在澳大利亚上市的股东将于5月1日投票。
据了解，竞争对手必和必拓(BHP.US)在2022年取消了双重上市结构，在激进投资者的压力下，现在主要在澳大利亚上市。
