Rocket Cos. said Monday it reached an agreement to buy digital real estate brokerage Redfin.

Rocket will pay $12.50 a share to buy Redfin under the all-stock transaction. The deal has an equity value of $1.75 billion.

Shares of Redfin surged 78% to $10.34 in premarket trading Monday. Rocket was down 9.6%.
