Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Flat to Lower Premarket Monday

Health care stocks were flat to lower premarket Monday as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) was down 0.7% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was unchanged recently.

BioNTech (BNTX) shares were down over 4% after the company reported lower Q4 earnings and revenue. The company also issued 2025 revenue outlook below analysts' expectations.

DexCom (DXCM) shares fell past 3% after the company said it was notified by the US Food and Drug Administration that its facilities in Mesa, Arizona, and San Diego were found to have non-conformities in manufacturing processes and quality management system during inspections last year.

Checkpoint Therapeutics (CKPT) has agreed to be acquired by India's Sun Pharmaceutical Industries for $4.10 per share in cash plus a non-transferable contingent value right, the companies said. Checkpoint Therapeutics shares rallied past 65% premarket.
