3月11日，日产汽车公司宣布，在当天的董事会会议上，决定现任社长内田诚将于3月底卸任。其职位将由公司首席规划官伊万·埃斯皮诺萨（Ivan Espinosa）接任，该任命自4月1日起正式生效。
