The $6m media deal threatening Seven’s AFL and cricket coverage

Seven West Media’s blockbuster deals to broadcast the AFL and cricket are at risk if it can’t strike a deal with a conservative media company that bought a network of TV stations in Tasmania, Spencer Gulf in South Australia, and central and northern Australia.

Australian Digital Holdings, the online TV network famously launched in 2021 with former broadcaster Alan Jones as a figurehead, acquired a suite of regional TV stations from Southern Cross Austereo last month.
