Foresta Group Holding's Unit Secures Regulatory Consent for New Zealand Project, Shares Up 11%

Foresta Group Holding (ASX:FGH) said its unit Foresta (NZ) has been granted resource consent by the Bay of Plenty Regional Council for earthworks and temporary stormwater discharge for stage 1 of its development at Kawerau, New Zealand, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The consents are valid until Feb 28, 2030, providing a five-year period for the approved activities, the filing added.

The company said it is now ready to start construction of its integrated biomass facility, subject to raising sufficient funding.

The company's shares rose 11% in recent Wednesday trade.
