PepsiCo (PEP) and General Mills (GIS) are among several major food companies whose executives are expected to meet with US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday, Politico reported, citing four unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter.
Kennedy agreed to hold discussions with the food executives at the recommendation of the White House, which has asked Cabinet members to meet with top representatives of industries they manage, the report added, citing one of the sources.
Neither the companies nor Kennedy's office immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
